![]() ![]() I will say it again because honesty these people need a good shower and need to touch grass but 30fps is playable when it comes to an older title. If graphics in a video game mean so dearly to you than the nostalgia or a good story with well written characters DO NOT PLAY IT. if you hate ♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphics don't play it that's all. ![]() ITS FROM 2003 FOLKS please shut the ♥♥♥♥ up. One thing i had seen the most is the contempt hate for how it looks "Oh its so clunky" or "its gross to look at on my 7000 40 monitor" or whatever. I also realize you can just steal it online which is fine if you don't wanna spend money on an old ass game. But this is a game made in s had remasters and hd remakes in the past as well so I understand if some fans have favorites ports. After buying other Tales games and playing through Vesperia and Arise (i'm not finished yet with Vesperia) I wanted to write a review after seeing some odd reviews from steam and some of the community.įirst off i'm not fluent or very knowledgeable on PC lingo or anything so you know. I have so many great memories playing this game on the GameCube and still load up my old save from time to time to see my progress. Tales of Symphonia is one of my favorite games of all time. I get why I liked symphonia as a kid, and I don't blame people for liking it now but as far as ported oldie JRPGs go, this one just feels old and sluggish when compared to some of the re-releases of recent. Repetitive battle strategies, story drags near the end of the game, more convoluted than I remember it being, game drags itself on too long on some plot threads that are just not very exciting or fun tbh. Nostalgic, decent story, enjoyable memorable characters, bright and colorful Unskippable cutscenes mean I don't think I would get anything out of new game+ and considering how much I loved the game as a kid, it saddens me a little to give it the thumbs down, but I just have different wants and needs from a game now than I did when I was 8. You can play as characters besides Lloyd but then it begs the question "Why would you" when I gave it a try to see if I could earn some titles and unlock stuff. "oh man ANOTHER dungeon?" The combat is also really repetitive and a little clunky feeling compared to more streamlined games later on. I had so much energy in part 1 and the initial part of part 2 but by the time you hit the ending it's like. too long winded, especially in the latter part of the game. It's a decent and very nostalgic JRPG but its age is definitely showing, and while it has its moments replaying it as an adult makes its flaws seem much more apparent than they were when I was a kid.įor one it's just. ![]()
